Assistant Quantity Surveyor
We're looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in Newton Abbot, South Devon, working on our HMP Channings Wood Prison project.
Location: Newton Abbot, South Devon
Contract: Permanent, full-time

What will you be responsible for?
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a major Government construction contract that will provide a critical asset to the local area.
Within the role, you'll be working within the Commercial Team, supporting them in building projects that support and develop the local communities.
Your day to day will include:
- Provide support to the Procurement Lead, Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS), and/or Commercial Leads in the commercial management and procurement of subcontract packages.
- Assist the procurement team in producing package procurement documents as required, contributing to a streamlined and effective procurement process.
- To assist to implement policies, procedures and standards for price, costs and gross margins.
- To financially manage (cash) projects and assist the with the production of cashflows for the project.
What are we looking for?
This role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- Ideally you will have experience from a similar role within the construction industry.
- Understanding of contract and business compliance in payment processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
