We're looking for a Bid Manager to join our Infrastructure team

 

Location: Flexible within the UK - remote working available, with occasional travel to offices/ sites required.

 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Bid Manager at Kier Infrastructure, you'll play a vital role in securing strategic projects by crafting compelling, client-focused proposals. You'll lead tender opportunities independently and collaborate with Senior Bid Managers on major pursuits in a supportive and flexible environment. This is an exciting chance to make a real impact, using your creativity and expertise to help shape winning bids that showcase our capabilities.

 

What will you be responsible for?

 

As a Bid Manager, you'll be working within the Preconstruction team, supporting them in delivering high-quality tender submissions.

 

Your day to day will include:

  • Leading the development of tenders and managing bid teams from opportunity identification to contract award
  • Building and nurturing relationships with clients and internal teams to create winning strategies
  • Coordinating bid resources, chairing meetings, and ensuring timely completion of actions
  • Managing tender programmes and ensuring submissions highlight our technical expertise and experience
  • Facilitating governance processes and maintaining comprehensive risk and opportunity registers

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Bid Manager is great for you if you hold:

  • Experience in bid or preconstruction management within a Tier 1 construction environment 
  • A strong track record of developing bid strategies and delivering successful bids
  • Ability to lead, collaborate and inspire others
  • Strong understanding of the bid process, particuarly value propositioning, commercial and estimating understanding
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills- being able to present written information in a professional and concise format
  • Proficient user in Microsoft software (i.e Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Full driving licence
