Business Development Manager

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Facilities Management team based in Basingstoke, London, Sheffield or Cardiff.

Location: Basingstoke Office/London Office/Sheffield Office/Cardiff Office - Hybrid working
Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, qualifying and winning Hard Facilities Management opportunities. You'll focus on market engagement, opportunity qualification, solution shaping and commercial development, ensuring proposals are both competitive and operationally deliverable. What will you be responsible for?

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in developing, qualifying and converting opportunities into profitable, sustainable contracts. Your day to day will include:

• Building and maintaining a qualified pipeline of Hard FM opportunities across key sectors including public sector, healthcare, education and commercial estates
• Leading bid/no-bid decision making and developing compelling win themes aligned to client needs such as compliance assurance, service continuity and social value
• Working with operational and technical teams to develop credible delivery solutions covering maintenance, statutory compliance and asset lifecycle planning
• Collaborating with estimating and commercial teams to develop robust pricing models and support contract negotiations
• Building trusted relationships with client stakeholders and leading presentations, ensuring smooth handover into mobilisation and delivery

What are we looking for?

This role of Business Development Manager is great for you if:

• You have proven experience in Business Development, Work Winning or Bid Shaping within Hard FM, Engineering Services or Building Services Maintenance
• You possess a strong technical understanding of Hard FM service lines, statutory compliance and asset maintenance regimes
• You can demonstrate a successful track record of contributing to or leading FM bids and contract awards
• You have commercial awareness with experience contributing to pricing, risk assessment and value propositions
• You're a confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams
