Category Buyer - indirects
We're looking for a Category Buyer – Indirects to join our Procurement Shared Service Centre team based in Rushden.
Location: Rushden – hybrid working available, with a minimum of 1 day per week in the office
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – typically 8:30am–5:00pm with 1 hour for lunch – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?
As a Category Buyer – Indirects, you'll be working within the Procurement Shared Service Centre team, supporting them in sourcing, negotiating, and contracting goods and services that are not material to build projects.
Your day to day will include:
- Developing and implementing sourcing strategies using category management principles
- Drafting and negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
- Monitoring market trends and benchmarking costs
- Delivering savings and rebate targets through effective supplier management
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and promoting best practices across the business
What are we looking for?
This role of Category Buyer – Indirects is great for you if:
- You have experience in procurement and category management of indirect products and services
- You're a strong negotiator and communicator with stakeholder engagement experience
- You're commercially aware, organised, and confident managing contracts and supplier performance
- You're ideally CIPS qualified or working towards it
