Commercial Manager

We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our London Tunnels Maintenance team based in Blackwall Tunnel and Fore Street Depot, London. This is an opportunity to carry out commercial control and governance whilst helping to enhance performance across a wide range of maintenance works, including reactive incident response, planned maintenance, fault management, and preventative works. Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Commercial Manager, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of tunnel and pumping station maintenance works across London's tunnel network.

Your day to day will include:

  • Managing subcontract procurement, Task Orders, payments, change control and performance scoring
  • Pricing works, managing change control and developing contract opportunities to secure additional client spend
  • Preparing monthly revenue claims and managing WiP and ensuring the full value is paid by the client each month.
  • Producing month-end reports including CVRs and subcontract liabilities
  • Producing a FY forecast of the client budgets, submit monthly and quarterly forecasts tracking the spend against the forecast and ensuring the forecast targets in terms of turnover and margin are achieved.
  • Management and mitigate contract risks
  • Work with the Head of the contract to support the full delivery of the contract services
  • Attending client meetings to provide commercial updates and presentations

What are we looking for?

This role of Commercial Manager is ideal if you bring:

  • Strong commercial experience within highways or a related infrastructure environment, with a solid understanding of the sector's challenges and opportunities
  • A working knowledge of the Highways Method of Measurement, alongside experience pricing highway works with confidence
  • Proven capability managing month-end processes, including CVRs, revenue recognition, and WiP and debt management
  • Experience overseeing subcontractors, supported by detailed contract knowledge of NEC TSC forms
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
