Customer Service Administrator

We're looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join our Birmingham team based in Birmingham. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our customer communications, ensuring that every enquiry receives a thoughtful and timely response. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in delivering exceptional service to members of the public, Birmingham City Councillors and Members of Parliament.

Location:  Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham B7 5HR - travel to the office required with some remote working available
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Salary: £27,976 per year + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Customer Service Administrator, you'll be working within the Customer Service team, supporting them in delivering responsive, high-quality service to our community. Your day to day will include:

  • Managing your own caseload of customer enquiries and providing full written responses within five business days.
  • Liaising with different service areas across the business to investigate and resolve customer queries effectively.
  • Responding to official complaints in line with procedures, ensuring fair and thorough outcomes.
  • Delivering excellent service that gets things right first time, every time.
  • Working towards key performance indicators that support our organisational goals.

  • Can communicate confidently and professionally via email, letter and phone.
  • Are passionate about supporting customers and providing a great service experience.
  • Can adapt well to change and enjoy working in a busy, fast‑moving environment.
  • Can work well both independently and as part of a team to achieve service targets.
