We're looking for a Design Co-Ordinator to join our Thames Water team based working on a project based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire.

Location: East Hyde, Bedfordshire - some remote working available, with occasional travel to other office's required.
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're seeking a highly skilled Design Co-Ordinator to join our dynamic and growing team. You'll support the design phase of construction projects, helping to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an opportunity to play a key role in providing engineering support, ensuring design excellence, and coordinating design stakeholders and deliverables across the East Hyde project.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Design Co-Ordinator, you'll be working within the design team, supporting them in delivering engineering assurance and design excellence. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading the engineering assurance process for designs developed by design partners
  • Managing design change and serving as the primary point of contact for technical queries
  • Collaborating with clients to understand and deliver their specific requirements
  • Ensuring design quality procedures are upheld, working to a 'right-first time' philosophy
  • Ensuring compliance with Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations and managing design-related health and safety risks

What are we looking for?

This role of Design Co-Ordinator is great for you if:

  • You have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline or related field
  • You have previous experience of working on complex technical projects and supporting on target delivery for time, cost, and quality
  • You possess strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills
  • You have excellent communication and people skills
  • You hold a Full driving licence (for travel to various offices and sites)
