Design Manager
We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Wanlip, Leicestershire.
Location: Wanlip
Hours: 45 Hours Per Week
In this role, you'll lead the technical design of projects during the pre-construction phase, ensuring that each scheme meets performance and regulatory requirements while delivering value for both our client and the environment.
What will you be responsible for?

Delivering technically sound, practical, and efficient design solutions across water and wastewater projects, while supporting innovation and digital delivery through Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM standards.

Managing design programmes, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Embedding CDM compliance and safety-by-design principles, maintaining high standards of quality through regular audits and reviews.

Building positive relationships with clients, partners, and teams through open communication, proactive risk management, and a shared commitment to delivery.

Supporting the growth and wellbeing of the design and technical team, promoting inclusion and living Kier's values of collaboration, trust, and focus.
What are we looking for?
This role could be a great fit if you:

Hold a degree in engineering and have experience managing and coordinating complex design projects.

Have a good understanding of digital design tools, design management processes, and enjoy using technology to improve efficiency.

Are confident leading, mentoring, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to perform at their best.

Communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues at all levels.
