Electrical Engineer

We're looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Northern Thames Valley Projects team based in Thames Valley.

Location: Thames Valley north
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're seeking an electrical biased Project Engineer to work on our Northern Thames Valley Projects. You'll work alongside other Project Engineers to ensure projects are delivered in line with Kier's and Thames Water's KPIs. This is an ideal opportunity if you're quality-focused, able to manage the supply chain, and either professionally qualified as a Project Engineer or have developed off the tools and hold a supervisory role on MEICA installations. As a strategic partner to Thames Water, we deliver design and build services for new and existing infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Engineer, you'll be working within the Northern Thames Valley Projects team, supporting them in delivering projects to the highest standards. Your day to day will include:

• Managing construction programmes and ensuring key milestones are met
• Selecting and managing the electrical supply chain, preparing tenders and conducting cost-benefit analysis
• Overseeing design integration of MEICA packages against Thames Water Asset standards
• Chairing supply chain meetings, monitoring progress and escalating issues where needed
• Promoting a Right First-Time culture and capturing lessons learnt through case studies

What are we looking for?

This role of Project Engineer is great for you if:

• You hold a Full driving licence
• You're a BEng/ONC/HNC/BTEC qualified Electrical engineer with some experience in the Water Industry
• You have competent judgement and problem-solving skills with commercial awareness
• You hold a relevant CSCS card, SSSTS, and Confined Spaces qualifications
• You have experience reviewing RAMS and understanding risks associated with process plant installations
