Location: Bristol, also covering Cardiff and Gloucester
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support the environmental aspects of our projects, delivering sustainability outcomes for our key clients during both the preconstruction and construction phases. You'll support the delivery of Kier's Building for a Sustainable World framework on projects, maintain environmental compliance, and work with internal teams and subcontractors to identify and embed environmental requirements and best practice into live projects.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Environmental Advisor, you'll be working within the environmental team, supporting them in delivering sustainability outcomes for our key clients. Your day to day will include:
- Supporting projects in pre-construction to ensure all required documentation is in place for successful delivery of sustainability outcomes
- Conducting environmental inspections, reporting and reviewing environmental incidents, and developing learning outcomes
- Collating and preparing sustainability metrics to report progress against agreed project objectives and targets
- Chairing meetings within the project team and supply chain to drive the sustainability agenda
- Supporting the delivery of training to the supply chain and raising awareness of sustainability performance
What are we looking for?
This role of Environmental Advisor is great for you if:
- You have a genuine passion for sustainability and a drive to reduce resource generation and usage and carbon emissions
- You have knowledge and experience of relevant environmental and planning legislation
- You have knowledge of construction sustainability schemes such as BREEAM, CEEQUAL, LEED or WELL
- You possess strong data analysis, reporting and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail
- You have the ability to travel to and between sites and manage time and workload effectively
