Estimator

We're looking for an Estimator to join our Strategic Projects Construction team and work on Major Projects across the country.

Location: Flexible. Occasional travel to sites or regional offices for collaboration.
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in supporting our team to generate profitable tenders and grow our market share. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to estimate project costs, identify opportunities to maximise profit, and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors. This is a great opportunity to contribute to exciting construction projects while supporting junior team members and promoting best practice.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Estimator, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering profitable tenders and converting opportunities into successful projects. Your day to day will include:

• Supporting the generation of tenders by estimating costs and resources for projects
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to minimise costs and maximise profit
• Contributing to the assessment, preparation and submission of tenders, working with design, planning and commercial teams
• Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with customers, consultants and suppliers throughout the tender process
• Providing regular, accurate reports and forecasts to support decision-making

This role of Estimator is great for you if:

• You have experience working within a Main Contractor company
• You're proficient in Excel and Estimating System Software
• You have a conscientious approach with strong attention to detail
• You enjoy building collaborative relationships and working as part of a team
• You're motivated to support others and promote best practice
