As a Facilities Coordinator at Velindre Cancer Centre, you'll be at the heart of our facilities operations, ensuring our specialist cancer care environment runs smoothly and safely. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll coordinate maintenance activities, manage our helpdesk service, and support statutory compliance across the site. - Coordinating the helpdesk service, ensuring all service requests and maintenance issues are logged, prioritised and resolved within agreed timescales
- Scheduling and monitoring planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance activities, including fire safety, water hygiene, electrical and gas safety
- Managing reactive maintenance works and coordinating sub-contractor attendance, ensuring all necessary documentation and safety records are in place
- Maintaining accurate compliance registers, certificates and audit-ready documentation across all facilities systems
- Supporting commercial administration including raising purchase orders, preparing reports and tracking performance against service level agreements
What are we looking for?
This role of Facilities Coordinator is great for you if:
- You're a confident Welsh speaker with the ability to communicate effectively in both Welsh and English, verbally and in writing
- You have experience coordinating facilities, maintenance or helpdesk services in a structured environment, with a good understanding of statutory compliance requirements
- You're comfortable using CAFM or helpdesk systems and have strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Excel for creating reports and trackers
- You're highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records for compliance and audit purposes
- You have strong communication and customer service skills, and can work professionally and sensitively within a healthcare environment
