Graduate Carbon Specialist

We're looking for a Graduate Carbon Specialist to join our Sustainability and Climate team based out of one of our offices nationwide

Location: Flexible with base location

Hours: 40 hours per week 

Starting Salary: £31,000 per annum 

Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k  

Starting date: September 2027

• London - 30th November/1st December 2026
• Salford - 8th and 9th December 2026
• Birmingham - 13th and 14th January 2027

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to join our Sustainability and Climate Team, where you'll gain hands-on experience in decarbonisation initiatives and sustainability assessments. You'll receive mentorship from experienced professionals and develop a strong foundation in sustainability while contributing to meaningful projects that make a real difference to our environment and communities.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Graduate Carbon Specialist, you'll be working within the Sustainability and Climate team, supporting them in delivering decarbonisation initiatives and sustainability assessments. Your day to day will include:

• Supporting carbon assessments for buildings and infrastructure, including Whole Life Carbon Assessments
• Contributing to the development of carbon management plans and sustainability assessments
• Assisting with green building certification assessments such as BREEAM, LEED, NABERS, and WELL
• Participating in stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops to promote sustainability and carbon reduction
• Supporting the team with bid preparation and technical challenges

What are we looking for?

We're looking for people due to graduate in 2027, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a Environmental or Sustainabiloty degree. This role of Graduate Carbon Specialist is great for you if you:

• Have a degree (or are working towards one) in an Environmental or Sustainability related discipline
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in environmental management and the construction industry
• Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
• Show enthusiasm for learning new skills and the ability to adapt in response to feedback
• Hold a Full driving licence
