Graduate Civil/Structural Design Engineer
We're looking for Graduate Civil/Structural Design Engineers to join our Transportation team based across various Midlands/Northern locations. You will be working in the Kier Design area of Transportation, supporting on the Civil/Structural part of the projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on our structured graduate development programme. These programmes have been designed to provide you with the experiences and tools needed for progression within your chosen career.
Locations: Based at an office in Birmingham, Norwich, Leeds, Newcastle or Liverpool – With flexibility to travel/relocate
Starting Salary: £30,000 per annum with potential £4,750 car allowance depending on eligibility
Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k
Starting date: September 2026

What you will be responsible for?
As a Graduate Civil/Structural Design Engineer, you'll be an essential part of our engineering team, helping to shape the future of construction across the UK. You'll have the chance to work in a variety of teams, either on-site where the action happens or in a design-based role, depending on where your interests lie.
What will your day-to-day duties include?
- Assisting in the preparation and management of project designs, plans, and specifications
- Supporting the development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
- Conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to solve technical issues and ensure project success
- Preparing technical reports, documentation, and providing project updates

What are we looking for?
We're looking for people due to graduate in 2026, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
The role of Graduate Civil/Structural Design Engineer is great for you if:

- Ideally h a full UK drivers' licence.
