Graduate Development Surveyor

We're looking for Graduate Development Surveyor to join our property team based in London. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on our structured graduate development programme. These programmes have been designed to provide you with the experiences and tools needed for progression within your chosen career. 

  

Location: London, Foley Street- you will be required to work both in the office and on various site projects. 

Salary: £30,000 per annum, with potential £4,750 car allowance depending on eligibility  

Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k  

Start date: September 2026

As a Graduate Development Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, management, and delivery of property development projects. You will work closely with experienced surveyors and project managers, gaining practical knowledge and developing the skills needed to succeed. This position is ideal for a recent graduate looking to kickstart their career in development surveying 

 

Your day to day will include: 

  • Assist in the feasibility studies and appraisals for potential development projects, including site assessments, market analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Support the acquisition of development sites, including conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and coordinating with legal teams.
  • Participate in the planning and design stages of projects, working with architects, planners, and other consultants to ensure developments meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and manage the planning process through to approval. 

 

 

How does the graduate scheme work? 

When you join, you will be enrolled onto our graduate scheme. The programme will take 2 years to complete and has been designed to equip you with the skills you need to excel in your chosen profession and help you achieve professional membership or chartership.

What are we looking for? 

We're looking for people due to graduate in 2026, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a RICS accredited degree in Real Estate, Property Development or a related field 

 

The role of Graduate Development Surveyor is great for you if: 

  • Strong interest in property development and a passion for building a career in the industry.
  • Basic understanding of the property development process, including planning, design, construction, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess the viability of development projects.
  • Must hold full drivers licence 

 

In person assessment day will be held on 8th January 2026 at Kier, Foley Street, London
