Graduate Quantity Surveyor 2027

We're looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places team based in the Basingstoke region. 

Location: Basingstoke
Hours: 40 hours per week
Starting Salary: £31,000 per annum + Car Allowance (on some contracts)
Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k
Starting date: September 2027

Kier Places is Kier's building, estate and property management business, delivering end-to-end solutions for places where people live and work. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Kier Places team, supporting them in delivering end-to-end solutions for places where people live and work.

Your day to day will include:

• Assisting in maximising gross profit for projects
• Managing commercial resources of the project
• Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
• Helping prepare and submit tenders and contract documents
• Collaborating with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements

• You hold a full UK driving licence
