Industrial Placement - Building Services Engineer
We're looking for an Industrial Placement Building Services Engineer to join our Construction team based in London.
Location: London Region
Hours: 40 per week
Salary: £30,784
Starting date: September 2027

This is an exciting opportunity for a degree student seeking a placement year to gain valuable hands-on experience and begin building a successful career in as aBuilding Services Engineer,. You will support the design, implementation, and management of essential building systems, including mechanical and electrical systems. This role is perfect for someone eager to launch a career in construction management and gain hands-on experience working on exciting projects across the education, health, defence, and aviation sectors.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Industrial Placement Building Services Engineer, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering high-quality building services systems.
Your day to day will include:
- Assisting in the design, development, and coordination of building services systems alongside Building Services Managers
- Reviewing design drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure they meet client requirements
- Conducting site visits and surveys to gather data and ensure designs are implemented correctly
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to integrate building services seamlessly
- Supporting the preparation of technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules

What are we looking for?
This role of Industrial Placement Building Services Engineer is great for you if:
- You are working towards a degree in building services engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- You have a strong interest in building services engineering and a passion for sustainable design
- You are proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit and have a basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- You hold a full driving licence
