Industrial Placement - Quantity Surveyor 2027

We're looking for an Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Southampton. 

Location: Southampton
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £27,976 pro rata
Starting date: September 2027

This is an exciting opportunity for a degree student seeking a placement year to gain valuable hands-on experience and begin building a successful career in Quantity Surveying.
You will assist in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying. You'll be part of a supportive team environment where your contributions are valued and your professional development is encouraged.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.

Your day to day will include:

• Assisting in maximising gross profit for projects
• Managing commercial resources of the project
• Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
• Helping prepare and submit tenders and contract documents
• Collaborating with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements
