Lead Water Technician
We're looking for a Lead Water Technician to join our South West Water team based in Exeter.
Location: Exewater, Exeter
Hours: 45hours per week on a shift rota basis
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As a Lead Water Technician, you'll be working within a team that values comradery and collaboration on schemes including mains laying, pressure management, district metering and large mains repairs. As part of our close-knit team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, creating a secure and protected work environment which is always our highest priority at Kier.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Lead Water Technician, you'll be working within the South West Water team, supporting them in working on schemes including mains laying, pressure management, district metering and large mains repairs. Your day to day will include:
- Carrying out manual labour in setting up site, excavating, preparing and installing water fittings
- Undertaking planned or reactive work as directed from water services to large diameter mains
- Ensuring levels of productivity working within timescales and to targets
- Updating all relevant documentation on each job using a tablet
- Being part of a rapid response team that works around the clock to deliver and restore clean water
What are we looking for?
This role of Lead Water Technician is great for you if:
- You have previous Utilities experience
- You hold a valid Full driving licence
- You have a willingness to upskill and develop your career
- You enjoy working collaboratively and building effective relationship
