Management Accountant

We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our Severn Trent framework

Location: Salford – mixture of office and home working
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Management Accountant, you'll be working within the Severn Trent framework team, supporting them in delivering accurate financial reporting and robust forecasting to ensure operational and commercial success.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Reporting on P&L governance and providing monthly management information.
  • Acting as the key finance contact for commercial and operational teams, resolving issues promptly.
  • Streamlining processes and improving cost capture and reporting accuracy.
  • Producing cash flow forecasts and influencing receipts/payments to maximise cash balance.
  • Supporting month-end reporting, variance analysis, and quarterly forecasting.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Management Accountant is great for you if:

  • You hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or are at final stage part-qualified.
  • You have strong commercial knowledge and experience in construction or project accounting.
  • You possess advanced data analytics and Excel skills.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can work collaboratively across teams.
