This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of commercial performance across our IMRDS Mainlaying portfolio. You'll be accountable for commercial governance, leadership and margin performance, working closely with operational leadership and Anglian Water to improve performance, manage risk and support successful delivery and growth. This role offers the chance to lead and develop a talented commercial team while driving strategic commercial improvements across complex infrastructure projects.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the IMRDS Mainlaying team, supporting them in achieving commercial excellence and protecting contractual entitlement. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading and developing the commercial team, setting clear responsibilities and standards while managing workloads and resources effectively
  • Reviewing and assuring CVRs, forecasts, applications, cash reporting and cost-to-complete submissions to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Overseeing NEC3 ECC and PSC contract application, compensation events, Early Warnings and change registers to prevent loss of entitlement
  • Leading recovery strategies for withheld value, agreeing clear contractual routes and evidence requirements with defined timescales
  • Building and maintaining effective senior relationships with Anglian Water, presenting commercial positions and resolving issues constructively

What are we looking for?

This role of Managing Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience with substantial experience at Managing Quantity Surveyor level
  • You possess strong practical knowledge of NEC contracts, preferably including ECC and PSC Options A, C and E
  • You have proven ability to lead, organise and develop a commercial team and manage performance constructively
  • You demonstrate strong capability in forecasting, CVR, cash management, change control and procurement
  • You can interpret complex contractual and financial information and set clear commercial strategy with excellent stakeholder management skills

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
