This is an exciting opportunity to lead the safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery of the end-to-end potable-water New Connections function. You'll be accountable for operational performance, resource planning, customer and stakeholder communication, people leadership, compliance and continuous improvement, while developing team capability through coaching and mentoring.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Providing visible, compassionate leadership to your team, maintaining accountability for performance, quality and results
  • Planning demand, staffing, resources and schedules to maintain service continuity and protect customer commitments
  • Building effective relationships with South West Water, Kier teams, customers and third parties, acting as the senior escalation point
  • Developing team capability through structured coaching, mentoring, observations and regular one-to-ones

What are we looking for?

This role of New Connections Manager is great for you if:

  • You have extensive practical knowledge of potable-water New Connections planning and end-to-end delivery
  • You have proven experience of leading teams, managing operational performance and delivering results through others
  • You possess strong coaching and mentoring skills, with experience of developing competence and adapting support to individual needs
  • You have sound knowledge of Streetworks permits, surveys, inspections and connection planning
  • You demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills, with a calm, accountable and organised approach
