NHSS 8 Assessor
We're looking for a NHSS 8 Assessor to join our Highways team based in Birmingham. In this role you will carry out site inspections and assessments of Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) registered operatives ensuring full compliance with National Highway Sector Scheme 8 standards. Due to the nature of this role a driving licence is an essential requirement.

Location: Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham- travel to the office required with some remote working available
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year + £5k annual car allowance + benefits

What will you be responsible for?
As a NHSS 8 Assessor, you'll be responsible for assessing technical competence, upholding the highest safety standards, and promoting continuous improvement across the highway electrical sector.
Your day to day will include:
- Conduct site inspections and assessments for HERS registered operatives
- Ensure compliance with NHSS 8 standards and requirements
- Build and maintain HERS portfolios and complete NVQ workbooks
- Address and rectify portfolio non-conformances
- Carry out Internal NHSS8 audits and support external audits
What are we looking for?
This role of NHSS 8 Assessor is great if you have:
- Experience and technical knowledge in the highway electrical sector
- Knowledge of NHSS 8 and HERS
- Willingness to travel across the UK
