Premises Manager
We're looking for a Premises Manager to join our The Radclyffe School team based in The Radclyffe School.
Location: The Radclyffe School
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
The Premises Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the school premises operate smoothly and safely. You'll proactively manage building operations, lead a team of operatives, and oversee day-to-day contract delivery while maintaining excellent health and safety standards. As the main site point of contact, you'll build strong relationships with stakeholders and create a welcoming, well-maintained environment for everyone.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Premises Manager, you'll be working within the facilities team, supporting them in maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming school environment. Your day to day will include:
- Conducting regular inspections and coordinating repairs to ensure minimal disruption to school activities
- Leading and mentoring the soft services team, including performance management and resource allocation
- Ensuring full compliance with health and safety policies, emergency procedures, and maintaining fire and water log books
- Managing contractors on-site and overseeing reactive and planned maintenance in line with contract requirements
- Building positive relationships with colleagues, site users, and management while representing the company professionally
What are we looking for?
This role of Premises Manager is great for you if:
- You have strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and facilities management practices
- You're skilled in people management with the ability to motivate, mentor, and lead teams effectively
- You excel at building relationships, managing priorities, and staying calm under pressure
- You're proficient in MS Office and CAFM systems, with excellent communication skills
- You're self-motivated, adaptable, and demonstrate excellent leadership qualities
