Project Director

We're looking for a Project Director to join our Construction team based in the Eastern Region.

Location: Eastern Region
Hours: Full time, permanent

As a Project Director, you'll lead major construction projects valued over £100m, working within our dynamic Construction team to deliver exceptional results for our clients. This is an opportunity to shape the design and construction process whilst maximising your team's potential to deliver projects safely and commercially. You'll play a vital role in maintaining the Kier brand, ensuring clients, users, and local communities are delighted with their projects.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Director, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering major regional projects across education, health, defence, and other key sectors. Your day to day will include:

• Leading the safety, health and environmental culture across all project works, ensuring compliance with regulations and Kier's standards
• Developing and delivering clear project execution plans with practical performance measures to meet project objectives
• Managing design consultants and trade contractors to ensure timely delivery within budget and programme timescales
• Overseeing commercial performance including finances, revenue, costs and cashflow to maximise profitability
• Leading and developing your project team, undertaking line management responsibilities and creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can excel

What are we looking for?

This role of Project Director is great for you if:

• You hold a Degree or HND in Construction and are professionally qualified or working towards professional qualification
• You have a proven track record of successfully delivering major projects of a similar scale
• You possess excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively lead diverse teams
• You have strong commercial awareness with knowledge of contract conditions and construction law
• You're an emotionally intelligent, collaborative leader who can navigate complex stakeholder relationships and inspire teams to continuously improve
