Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for Quantity Surveyor to join our Severn Trent Contract based in Solihull

 

Location:  Solihull, West Midlands - some remote working available

Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the Kier Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division, supporting the successful delivery of major civil projects across the Midlands working closely with project teams to control costs, maximise value, and ensure commercial excellence throughout project lifecycles.

Your day to day will include:

  • Managing and controling project costs while maximising value and minimising future liabilities

  • Collaborating with Commercial Leads, Engineers, Site Managers, Planners and wider project teams

  • Procuring subcontractors in line with commercial standards and best value principles

  • Preparing accurate cost reports, valuations, accruals, forecasts, and client submissions

  • Producing cost-to-complete documentation and final account submissions

  • Resolving internal and subcontractor commercial queries

  • Driving cost efficiency and promote performance delivery across projects

  • Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance remain central to commercial decisions

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You hold a Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • You have experience delivering civil projects, ideally within the water industry
  • You have a strong understanding of NEC contracts
