Senior Design Manager

We're looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our Severn Trent Framework based in Sheffield.

Location: Sheffield
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape engineering design delivery across our portfolio. As a Senior Design Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving engineering excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring that our projects are delivered to the highest standards. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, providing expert support throughout the entire project lifecycle from concept through to handover.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Design Manager, you'll be working within the design team, supporting them in delivering outstanding engineering solutions.

Your day to day will include:

• Leading and managing engineering design delivery for assigned projects across the portfolio
• Line managing Design Managers, supporting their professional development and ensuring consistent delivery
• Collaborating with engineering discipline leads and construction partners to develop technically excellent and economically sound solutions
• Overseeing engineering assurance processes and implementing design quality procedures to ensure right-first-time delivery
• Managing design-related health and safety compliance in line with CDM Regulations whilst driving innovation and sustainability throughout the programme

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Design Manager is great for you if:

• You have a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
• You bring proven experience in engineering design, construction and management
• You have strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes
• You possess excellent communication skills and can translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
• You hold a Full driving licence
