Location: Nationwide
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
Salary: starting from £50,000 per year

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role

Are you...

  • A Chartered Engineer with membership of appropriate Professional Body (IET or IMechE)?
  • Fully competent with extensive experience within the water, wastewater or process related industries, including hydraulic design and pumping systems?
  • Experienced with detailed knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements?
  • Able to understand information and data, patterns, trends and relationships in order to make effective decisions?
  • Able to pass the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements?

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior EICA Engineer, you'll be working within the MEICA team, supporting them in delivering electrical, instrumentation, control and automation design excellence for water engineering projects. This is a truly exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to help grow Kier within the water sector, support the development of junior team members and deliver outstanding water projects within a fully integrated design and build delivery model.

Your day to day will include:

  • Overall electrical, instrumentation, control and automation design, as part of an integrated design solution for water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Oversight of junior team members, supporting their development, welfare and delivery of work within projects
  • Producing detailed designs for pumping stations, treatment works, and network assets for both potable water and wastewater applications
  • Ensuring designs comply with UK water industry standards (WIMES), British Standards, Water Regulations, CDM 2015 and client specifications
  • Working collaboratively with civil, mechanical and process engineers to ensure integrated, efficient asset design
