We're looking for a Senior Environment Advisor to join our Thames Water projects team covering major projects in Bedfordshire.

Location: covering Easy Hyde, Bedfordshire and Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As our Environmental lead, you'll provide expert guidance and support to project delivery teams, ensuring environmental legal compliance while supporting the delivery of Thames Water projects and the Kier Building for a Sustainable World Framework. This is a site-based role where you'll work closely with project teams from design through to handover, supporting up to 5 projects across the region.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Environment Advisor, you'll be working within the SHE Team, supporting them in delivering sustainable environmental outcomes across multiple projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Reviewing pre-construction information to evaluate environmental risks and opportunities, communicating findings to project teams
  • Supporting project teams with obtaining permits, licences, and consents, engaging with regulatory bodies
  • Conducting environmental inspections and audits, leading on incident investigations and developing learning outcomes
  • Collating sustainability data and reporting progress against objectives, producing case studies and best practice examples
  • Leading training initiatives and chairing meetings to drive the sustainability agenda across the business

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Environment Advisor is great for you if:

  • You have a passion for environmental sustainability and strong demonstrable understanding of environmental legislation, licences and consents
  • You hold Full ISEP Practitioner membership or Chartered Environmentalist status
  • You have proven experience working in an environmental role across pre-construction and live projects
  • You possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders
  • You hold a Full driving licence and can travel between sites

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
