Senior Planner
We're looking for a Senior Planner to join our Construction Delivery team based in Gerrard's Cross.
Location: Gerrard's Cross, covering sites within London and Thames Valley
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Based in our Chiswell Office, you'll be working on multiple sites across London and the Thames Valley area. As a Senior Planner, you'll collaborate with Pre Construction and Construction Delivery Teams, offering your planning expertise on projects ranging from £5M to £100M+ in value across diverse sectors including Health & Science, Residential, Commercial, Education, and Custodial. You'll be part of a supportive Planning Department of ten, reporting to a Planning Manager or Head of Planning.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Planner, you'll be working within the Construction Delivery team, supporting them in achieving successful project delivery across multiple sectors. Your day to day will include:
- Producing and managing fully integrated programmes incorporating all disciplines, with appropriate risk allowances and terminal float
- Attending regular site visits to independently assess progress and liaise with subcontractors
- Creating monthly client progress reports and providing planning expertise across projects
- Forecasting programme scenarios, developing mitigation strategies, and reviewing subcontractor compliance
- Mentoring junior planning team members and contributing to department development through lessons learnt and innovation
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Planner is great for you if:
- You have construction planning experience within a main contractor environment on projects valued between £5M - £100M+
- You hold a construction-related academic qualification (BSc, HNC/D etc.) and possess a valid CSCS card
- You're an experienced user of Asta Powerproject and familiar with Bluebeam or similar software
- You have strong knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract, including delay and change entitlement methods
- You can confidently manage your own workload while supporting and collaborating with project teams
