Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places PFI Lifecycle team based in London.

Location: London - Hybrid Working available
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor within our Kier Places PFI Lifecycle Team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a strategic cost reduction programme across a portfolio of 26 PFI contracts. Working collaboratively with operational and technical teams, you'll focus on establishing cost certainty, identifying opportunities for efficiency and supporting contract teams to deliver lifecycle obligations within agreed budgets. This is an excellent opportunity to use your analytical skills and commercial expertise to make a real impact across a diverse portfolio.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the PFI Lifecycle team, supporting them in delivering improved commercial outcomes and cost efficiencies across the portfolio. Your day to day will include:

• Leading detailed reviews of lifecycle forecasts and expenditure profiles across 26 PFI contracts, developing robust cost models to establish the cost of delivering remaining lifecycle obligations
• Challenging existing lifecycle assumptions and delivery strategies to identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies
• Working collaboratively with operational and technical teams to validate lifecycle requirements and ensure forecast expenditure reflects actual contractual obligations
• Producing detailed commercial analysis, reports and recommendations to support strategic decision making by senior management
• Developing and implementing procurement strategies that deliver best value and support the achievement of portfolio cost reduction targets

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You have strong experience in cost forecasting, commercial analysis, procurement and the identification and delivery of cost reduction opportunities
• You can interpret contractual requirements and ensure compliance whilst maximising commercial opportunity
• You possess excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision making across multiple contracts and disciplines
• You have a proven ability to challenge existing assumptions, identify efficiencies and deliver measurable commercial improvements through data-driven decision making
