We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Design team based in Norfolk.

Location: Norfolk - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Salary: Starting from £46,000 per annum

Sector: Design – highways, rail and water

About the role

Join our Design team as a Senior Technician you'll be a key team player, contributing to the delivery of complex Civil & Structural Permanent Works services, ensuring solutions are safe, buildable, and compliant in all stages. Working within the Structures & Geotechnical team, you'll help develop safe, buildable Permanent Works solutions, support tenders and live projects, and collaborate closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on high‑profile schemes while progressing your career within Kier's nationally recognised in‑house consultancy.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Technician, you'll be working within the Structures & Geotechnical team, supporting them in delivering high-quality design solutions across permanent and temporary works. Your day to day will include:

  • Producing BIM models, 3D designs, and 2D CAD drawings using REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD to support tenders and project delivery
  • Checking and coordinating building structures information in a quality assurance environment
  • Supporting bid and tender activities, including feasibility studies and concept design development
  • Undertaking site inspections and ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and British/European Standards
  • Contributing to design deliverables including calculations, reports, and risk assessments

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Technician is great for you if:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree (construction-related) or HNC/BTEC in Structural/Civil Engineering, Building, or Construction
  • You have extensive experience producing building structures models and drawings compliant with CDM Regulations and relevant standards
  • You're highly capable in REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD on building structures projects
  • You hold a Full driving licence
  • You're passionate about working for a collaborative, trusted, and delivery-focused organisation
