Social Impact Advisor

We're looking for a Social Impact Advisor to join our KierBAM Joint Venture team based in Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

KierBAM Joint Venture (KBJV) is a partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall currently delivering a large scale infrastructure development within Devonport Royal Dockyard. As a Social Impact Advisor, you will be at the heart of our award-winning Environment and Sustainability Team, driving social value and wider social impact commitments across the project. You'll be the vital link between KBJV and our local communities, schools, colleges, and universities, ensuring our commitment to social value is embedded in everything we do.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Social Impact Advisor, you'll be working within the Environment and Sustainability team, supporting them in delivering social value and wider social impact commitments across the project. Your day to day will include:

• Representing KBJV at various events such as careers fairs, community events, school engagements, and industry events
• Collaborating with the project team to encourage strategic social impact initiatives and identifying volunteering opportunities
• Ensuring accurate data collection across the project and recording via Thrive to achieve key performance indicators
• Maintaining and building a stakeholder register of local organisations and groups to maximise our Social Value
• Delivering on the KBJV Social Value Plan and maintaining a Social Value calendar to ensure diverse events are planned and coordinated

What are we looking for?

This role of Social Impact Advisor is great for you if:

• You have demonstrable experience of supporting or delivering social impact projects and driving social value outcomes, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, water, environmental or community-focused programmes
• You possess strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate and manage multiple activities
• You have the ability to collaborate with and build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including operational teams, clients, supply chain partners and local community organisations
• You're passionate about delivering social value in the communities where we work
• You're comfortable working in a live MOD facility and can meet BPSS security clearance requirements
