Stakeholder Officer
We're looking for a Stakeholder Officer to join our A66 Northern Trans-Pennine team in Penrith, playing a key role in building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, local communities, and project stakeholders. Acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholder enquiries and concerns, you'll champion a customer-focused approach across the project, ensuring the needs of our stakeholders are at the heart of every decision while helping to enhance the reputation and success of this nationally significant infrastructure scheme.
Location: Tolbar Office, Penrith – hybrid working
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per year + £5,000 annual car allowance + benefits

What will you be responsible for?
As a Stakeholder Officer, you'll support and develop the project's established relationship with our client National Highways, our stakeholders and the local community affected by the scheme. Your day to day will include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders impacted by the project
- Coordinating all proactive and reactive customer and stakeholder communications, keeping communities informed through multiple channels
- Serving as the main point of contact for the project and natural go-to person for the local community
- Investigating and responding to enquiries, maintaining an accurate audit trail of all stakeholder engagement
- Delivering presentations to stakeholders and community groups, working collaboratively to improve customer experience
What are we looking for?
This Stakeholder Officer role is ideal if you:
- Have experience in a customer-facing, stakeholder engagement, community liaison, or public-facing role, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and accurate communications
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently managing multiple priorities, making informed decisions, and responding effectively to changing situations
- Are highly organised and process-driven, with excellent record-keeping skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
