We're looking for a Supervisor to join our North Northamptonshire highway network team based in Wellingborough Depot.

Location: Wellingborough Depot – site and office based 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours (with occasional requirement to work evenings), some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of highway maintenance works across North Northamptonshire. You'll be working closely with both internal teams and supply chain partners, ensuring that high-quality repairs are delivered safely and to Kier's exacting standards.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Supervisor, you'll be working within the highway maintenance team, supporting them in delivering safe, high-quality repairs across the North Northamptonshire highway network. Your day to day will include:

  • Supporting the effective delivery of highway maintenance works and ensuring standards are consistently met
  • Delivering daily briefings, safety alerts and safety critical information to operatives and supply chain personnel
  • Conducting site visits to ensure teams are working to Kier's standards and values
  • Liaising with the Delivery Team to report hazard spots, near misses and opportunities for improvement
  • Promoting wellbeing and fostering an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are valued

What are we looking for?

This role of Supervisor is great if you:

  • Have a strong understanding of Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) regulations and can apply them confidently on site
  • Hold relevant supervisory qualifications such as SSSTS or SMSTS, alongside an NRSWA Supervisor qualification or equivalent
  • Understand Chapter 8 Traffic Management requirements and are committed to maintaining high safety standards
  • Bring experience in highways maintenance and knowledge of highway materials and specifications
  • Can effectively plan maintenance activities, manage programmes of work and demonstrate strong commercial awareness
