Agent- 12 month fixed term contract
We're looking for an Agent to join our team based in South West England.
Location: South West England
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage operatives, subcontractors and suppliers on site. You'll be instrumental in delivering projects to programme and within budget, whilst ensuring compliance with Kier's health, safety and environmental management system. This role offers the chance to make a real impact, working collaboratively with your team to achieve results that matter.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Agent, you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in delivering construction projects successfully. Your day to day will include:
- Managing operatives, subcontractors and suppliers on site to ensure smooth project delivery
- Producing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements for site works
- Ensuring all labour, plant, materials and supply chain resources are accurately recorded and Quality Assurance procedures are implemented
- Identifying technical queries, risks and changes, and communicating effectively with the project team
- Producing lookahead programmes and assisting in updating the contract programme
What are we looking for?
This role of Agent is great for you if:
- You hold an NVQ Level 3, HNC, Degree, or Management qualification
- You have your SMSTS and Full driving licence
- You have experience of MEICA works
- You have demonstrable experience in successfully managing construction works with good commercial and environmental awareness
- You enjoy working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders, and are trusted to deliver what you promise while acting safely and ethically
