Design Manager
We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Assured Delivery team based Nationwide within the Transportation Rail team. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.
Location: Nationwide
Hours: 42 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Are you...
- A holder of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline
- Experienced in managing design for multi-disciplinary engineering and construction projects
- Knowledgeable about CDM 2015 and design-related health and safety risk management
- Someone with strong technical and information management skills
- In possession of a Full driving licence
What will you be responsible for?
As a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Assured Delivery team, supporting them in delivering design excellence across a diverse range of industries, including Transportation, Water, Environment and Energy. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring design programmes and quality standards are met, whilst managing relationships with designers, stakeholders and client teams. Your day to day will include:
- Supporting tenders and Early Contractor Involvement with technical input and management of innovative, compliant design solutions
- Producing and maintaining design programmes, scopes, responsibility matrices and engineering deliverables schedules
- Managing design development and ensuring buildability between construction and design teams to achieve efficient solutions
- Chairing design review meetings, resolving interface issues and closing out technical interfaces between teams
- Collaborating with commercial teams and managing the performance of the internal and external design supply chain
