Cleaner

We're looking for a Cleaner to join our Waltham Forest PFI team based in Larkswood School.

Location: Larkswood School, Waltham Forest
Hours: 12.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Kier Places are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Cleaner on a 9-month fixed term contract. You'll be based at Larkswood School, working closely with the site team to ensure continuity and quality of service. This is a rewarding role where you'll help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Cleaner, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school. Your day to day will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the school including classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal spaces
• Vacuuming carpeted areas and wet mopping hard floors to ensure they are spotless
• Emptying waste receptacles, disposing of waste correctly and replenishing consumables such as hand wash and toilet rolls
• Following COSHH guidelines and health and safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE
• Reporting any maintenance or pest issues to your supervisor immediately

This role of Cleaner is great for you if:

• You have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office or commercial building
• You understand health and safety at work legislation, particularly COSHH regulations
• You're able to prioritise high-risk areas and coordinate your tasks effectively
• You take pride in maintaining high standards and pay attention to detail
• You're a reliable team player who enjoys creating a positive environment for others
