We're looking for a Cleaner to join our Waltham Forest PFI team based in Larkswood School.
Location: Larkswood School, Waltham Forest
Hours: 12.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Kier Places are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Cleaner on a 9-month fixed term contract. You'll be based at Larkswood School, working closely with the site team to ensure continuity and quality of service. This is a rewarding role where you'll help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Cleaner, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school. Your day to day will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the school including classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal spaces
- Vacuuming carpeted areas and wet mopping hard floors to ensure they are spotless
- Emptying waste receptacles, disposing of waste correctly and replenishing consumables such as hand wash and toilet rolls
- Following COSHH guidelines and health and safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE
- Reporting any maintenance or pest issues to your supervisor immediately
What are we looking for?
This role of Cleaner is great for you if:
- You have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office or commercial building
- You understand health and safety at work legislation, particularly COSHH regulations
- You're able to prioritise high-risk areas and coordinate your tasks effectively
- You take pride in maintaining high standards and pay attention to detail
- You're a reliable team player who enjoys creating a positive environment for others
