Commercial Assistant

We're looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our Reactive Works team based in Hatherleigh.

Location: Hatherleigh office with the opportunity to work from home for part of the week once training and probation period is complete
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join our Reactive Works team and play a vital role in supporting essential maintenance work across water infrastructure. With an annual turnover of around £3.5m, you'll be part of a collaborative commercial team managing multiple schemes and working with both directly employed and subcontracted resources. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your commercial skills in a supportive environment where learning and growth are encouraged.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Commercial Assistant, you'll be working within the Reactive Works team, supporting them in maintaining accurate commercial records and billing processes. Your day to day will include:

• Ensuring works undertaken are billed in a timely manner and providing information on aged debt
• Maintaining accurate records of works issued, monitoring orders and tracking completion status
• Utilising commercial records to calculate the cost of individual schemes
• Conducting monthly commercial reviews with Project Engineers to provide cost updates
• Contributing to monthly commercial reporting across the team
