We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our PFI/PPP team based in London.

Location: London
Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team, working on complex PFI/PPP contracts where your commercial expertise will make a real difference. As a Commercial Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our contracts run smoothly, identifying opportunities, and managing risks effectively. You'll work alongside talented colleagues who are committed to delivering excellent results for our clients whilst supporting each other's growth and development.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Commercial Manager, you'll be working within the PFI/PPP team, supporting them in delivering effective commercial management across contracts. Your day to day will include:

  • Supporting the Commercial Director and Head of PFI in managing contract compliance and minimising financial deductions
  • Leading commercial mobilisation activities and implementing mitigation plans for contract deliverables
  • Managing the procurement process, including tendering, scope development, and contract orders
  • Identifying and pricing contract variations for both capital works and services
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, providing commercial support and leading audits across the account

What are we looking for?

This role of Commercial Manager is great for you if:

  • You have relevant industry qualifications and prior experience within the PFI/PPP sector
  • You possess excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple priorities effectively
  • You're confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • You enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to find innovative solutions
  • You're thorough, disciplined, and focused on delivering what you promise

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.

Making Kier a diverse and inclusive place to work is a huge priority for us. We're proud of the steps we've taken so far, but we know we must always do more. Our employees are key in shaping Kier's diversity and inclusion initiatives and our people have made a huge impact on how we work, by using their experiences to shape our policies. You can see our D&I action plan here.
