Commissioning Engineer
We're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our Southern Water Framework team based in Falmer
Location: Falmer - remote working available, with travel to the office required.
Hours: 45 - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Join our Southern water team as a Commissioning Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in delivering essential clean water and wastewater treatment projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative solutions that make a real difference to communities, whilst developing your career in a supportive and collaborative environment. What will you be responsible for?
As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll be working within the commissioning team, supporting them in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Developing and implementing commissioning plans and strategies for process control systems and equipment
- Conducting commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems across water treatment facilities
- Collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of new systems
- Managing commissioning documentation, including RAMS, test records, and training materials for client personnel
- Overseeing site acceptance testing and supporting the transition through to handover and beyond
What are we looking for?
This role of Commissioning Engineer is great for you if:
- You have proven experience in commissioning medium to large-scale MEICA projects, ideally within the water sector
- You're confident in preparing and interpreting health and safety documentation, including RAMS
- You have a strong understanding of process control systems, PLCs, SCADA, and telemetry integration
- You're an excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders
- You have a positive, solution-focused approach and thrive in collaborative environments
