Customer Experience Officer

We're looking for a Customer Experience Officer to join our North Northamptonshire Council team based in Wellingborough. You'll be the vital connection between Kier Transportation, our clients, and the communities we serve supporting the delivery of essential highways services for North Northamptonshire Council.

Location: Wellingborough - travel to the office required some remote working available
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 37.5 hours - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per year + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Customer Experience Officer, you'll be working within the teams at Wellingborough depot, to ensure stakeholders are kept informed about highway works through engaging and professional communication.

Your day to day will include:

  • Responding to customer enquiries and complaints accurately and promptly, ensuring a positive experience
  • Analysing customer feedback and sharing insights with teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Supporting social media engagement and coordinating events and consultations
  • Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams
  • Monitoring performance against KPIs and championing customer satisfaction across all activities

What are we looking for?

This role of Customer Experience Officer could be a great fit if you have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with a wide range of customers and stakeholders
  • A customer‑focused approach, strong organisation skills and a natural enthusiasm for solving problems
  • The ability to build positive and effective working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and Outlook, with a good eye for maintaining accurate records
  • A full driving licence
