We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Severn Trent Framework

Location: Sheffield
Hours: 45 Hours Per Week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us


As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play a vital role in delivering technical solutions across our water projects. You'll be working on site, supporting the design, delivery and commissioning of electrical systems whilst ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects that make a real difference to communities.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering high-quality electrical solutions.

Your day to day will include:

  • Developing and reviewing electrical designs, including single line diagrams, cable calculations and layouts
  • Producing technical specifications and managing scopes of work
  • Providing technical support during installation and construction phases
  • Attending site to carry out inspections and resolve technical issues
  • Supporting testing and commissioning activities to ensure successful project handover

What are we looking for?

This role of Electrical Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold a degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • You have experience working within the water sector
  • You understand LV/HV systems and electrical design principles
  • You have strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • You're familiar with UK standards and regulations
