We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to provide LV electrical engineering expertise for industrial projects within the water industry. You'll be joining a collaborative team working on major projects and capital frameworks across Thames Water supply and treatment regions. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of delivering design and build services for new and existing infrastructure assets, where your technical skills and attention to detail will make a real impact.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be working within the Thames Water Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions for water treatment facilities. Your day to day will include:

  • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on electrical documentation including block cable diagrams, load schedules, MCC/RTU electrical schematics, and communications architecture drawings
  • Representing Kier at client meetings and coordinating directly with Thames Water Operations teams to support electrical commissioning activities on live process plants
  • Overseeing electrical installation and commissioning works on site, ensuring compliance with quality and asset standards
  • Attending Factory Acceptance Tests for MCC/RTU builds, ensuring the final product meets all design criteria and operational requirements
  • Supporting contractors within the discipline whilst ensuring company standards in health and safety, environmental management, and quality are maintained

What are we looking for?

This role of Electrical Project Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold an HNC qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering or a similar discipline
  • You have experience in low voltage electrical installations on large-scale water treatment works
  • You possess a working knowledge of large motor control centres and associated control systems
  • You understand communications protocols such as Profibus, DeviceNet, and Ethernet IP
  • You hold a Full driving licence

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
