Electrical Project Engineer
We're looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Severn Trent Contract based in Wanlip.
Location: Wanlip
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Electrical Project Engineer you'll be working within the Severn Trent Contract, supporting them in providing electrical engineering experience for industrial projects.
Your day to day will include:

Defining client requirements and deliver effective engineering design solutions through all project stages.

Engaging and coordinating with the supply chain to support contractor delivery and ensure design integrity.

Applying sound technical judgment and problem-solving skills throughout the construction phase.

Providing technical support within the electrical discipline, ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met.

Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and contractors to achieve project objectives, including planning and managing shutdown methodologies
What are we looking for?

Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering with proven project engineering experience.

Strong knowledge of motor control centres (MCCs), including instrumentation, control, and automation systems.

Understanding of switchgear design, including protection devices and discrimination calculations.

Experience with electrical distribution and power engineering up to 11kV, including switchgear systems.

Awareness of ATEX hazardous area electrical design and a strong commitment to safety standards.
