We're looking for a Working Electrical Supervisor to join our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme team based on site in East Hyde, Luton.

Location: East Hyde Luton, Bedfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are seeking a Working Electrical Supervisor to work within our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP). In this hands-on role, you'll carry out electrical installation works on Thames Water sites for both permanent and temporary installs, supervise other Kier electricians ensuring their works are to the appropriate standard, and carry out electrical inspection and testing. You'll form an early cornerstone for a developing self-delivery team, complementing our already established MEICA delivery team. Kier is a strategic partner to Thames Water, providing design and build services for new and existing infrastructure assets across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Working Electrical Supervisor, you'll be working within the Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme team, supporting them in delivering safe and compliant electrical installations across Thames Water sites. Your day to day will include:

  • Installing low-voltage electrical systems, including temporary and permanent works, containment systems, power and control cables, and testing installations
  • Supervising Kier electricians and mates, providing mentorship to electrical apprentices, and ensuring works meet appropriate standards
  • Producing and reviewing electrical RAMS, project ITPs, and maintaining documentation through Kier's common data environment
  • Providing safe isolations of LV electrical systems and issuing electrical safety documents including Permit to Work and Isolation Certificates
  • Carrying out electrical audits, overseeing contractor testing, and ensuring installation works align with Thames Water asset standards

What are we looking for?

This role of Working Electrical Supervisor is great for you if:

  • You hold a Full driving licence and relevant JIB Gold Card / ECS card
  • You have significant industry experience in the Water Industry with strong problem-solving skills
  • You hold C&G 2330 or 2360 in electrical installations, NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations, and IEE 18th edition wiring regulations
  • You have SMSTS, Confined Spaces, and C&G 2391 Inspect and Test qualifications
  • You have a good working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant and equipment

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
