Waste Technician
We're looking for a Waste Technician to join our Neath Port Talbot Hospital PFI team based in Neath Port Talbot Hospital Baglan Way, Port Talbot.
Location: Neath Port Talbot Hospital Baglan Way, Port Talbot, SA12 7BX
Hours: Rotating shift pattern - Week 1: 35 hours (07:00-14:30 Mon-Fri), Week 2: 45 hours (12:30-19:30 Mon-Fri, 07:00-12:00 Sat-Sun), Week 3: 21 hours (07:00-15:30 Wed-Fri), Week 4: 40 hours (07:00-15:30 Mon-Fri)

As a Waste Technician, you'll be working as part of a team collecting waste throughout the hospital and taking it to a site-based Waste Transfer Station. You'll play a vital role in ensuring we deliver a safe, customer-focused, cost-effective, efficient, and compliant service that meets our contractual and legal obligations. What will you be responsible for?
As a Waste Technician, you'll be working within the Neath Port Talbot Hospital PFI team, supporting them in delivering excellent waste management services. Your day to day will include:
- Collecting clinical, general and recyclable waste streams throughout the hospital
- Ensuring all waste streams are stored and processed in accordance with current legislation within the on-site Waste Transfer Station
- Delivering waste consumables to designated points throughout the hospital
- Promoting wellbeing within your team and ensuring an inclusive workplace
- Building effective relationships across teams, clients and stakeholders
