Engineer
We're looking for a Highways Engineer to join our team based in Salford.

Location: Optimum House, Clippers Quay, Salford, M50 3XP - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Highways Engineer, you'll be working within the Design team, supporting them in delivering high-quality highway schemes. You'll play an important part in delivering innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working on exciting schemes including the National Highways SDF Framework, Legacy Concrete Roads Reconstruction Framework, and major projects such as the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine and A417 mssing link, you'll contribute to our 360 approach to design and construction.
Your day to day will include:
- Preparing technical design drawings, specifications and reports in line with DMRB and relevant standards
- Taking responsibility for delivering highway studies and smaller schemes with minimal supervision
- Collaborating closely with senior team members on major projects, taking ownership of key design elements
- Undertaking site visits and liaising with clients, statutory bodies and stakeholders to maintain excellent relationships
- Using AutoCAD to provide innovative engineering solutions whilst ensuring quality standards are met
What are we looking for?
This role of Highways Engineer is great for you if:
- You hold a Civil Engineering degree or similar combination of qualifications and experience
- You're experienced in using AutoCAD and have working knowledge of DMRB standards
- You're working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer accreditation with a relevant professional body
- You have experience delivering a range of projects and communicating technical information clearly
- You hold a valid driving licence and CSCS card
