Environment Advisor.

We're looking for an Environment Advisor to work in the Natural Resources division, as part of the Southern Water framework team.

 

Location: Falmer, East Sussex - with visits across the Southern Water patch, covering Kent, East & West Sussex

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours is available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

You'll be overseeing complex environments, while ensuring that the approach is sustainable and meeting the client's expectations. 

 

What will the day-to-day include?

  • Collecting and reporting of sustainability data, which then needs inputting into Kier's current reporting suite of tools.
  • Managing and overseeing the environmental consultants/specialists, when and where required.
  • Collaboration is key and so you'll need to liaise with other Strategic Delivery Partners, the appropriate regulatory bodies, and the subcontractors on all matters concerning environmental management and sustainability to drive the best practice.
  • Coordinating and delivering the decarbonisation initiatives across the framework.
  • Should any incidents occur, you'll have to investigate these and implement appropriate measures to prevent repeat occurrences. 

 

What are we looking for?

The knowledge and qualifications needed to be successful are:

  • You should hold an environmental degree for this position.
  • You should be a member of a professional body such as IEMA, CIWEM, CIWM etc
  • You've a working knowledge of ISO14001
  • You've a full driving licence and able to drive in the UK.
  • You have experience of the legislation and dealing with statutory authorities.
