We're looking for an Environmental Manager to join our Sizewell C New Nuclear Build team based in Suffolk.

Location: Suffolk
Hours: Flexible as required - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is a unique opportunity to join our Sizewell C New Nuclear Build contract, supporting this nationally important energy project in Suffolk. You'll oversee environmental matters, drive sustainability, and ensure we're meeting our client's expectations on this complex project. You'll provide technical advice on all aspects of environmental management, ensure environmental compliance, and help promote our Sustainability Action Plan. This is your chance to work on a nationally important piece of infrastructure providing energy security for the UK.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Environmental Manager, you'll be working within the Sizewell C project team, supporting them in delivering environmental excellence and sustainability. Your day to day will include:

  • Acting as environmental subject matter expert and lead point of contact for project and design teams
  • Developing and implementing the project Environmental Management System
  • Supporting project teams to obtain and comply with regulatory and client requirements
  • Conducting environmental audits and site inspections, and facilitating environmental training
  • Facilitating the implementation of the Kier Group Sustainability framework and supporting delivery of sustainability innovations

What are we looking for?

This role of Environmental Manager is great for you if:

  • You have demonstrable experience in environmental management and sustainability on construction projects and/or frameworks
  • You're a member of a professional body such as IEMA, CIWEM, or CIWM
  • You have proven experience in assessing environmental aspects and impacts, developing mitigation proposals and implementing environmental management procedures
  • You have good knowledge and practical experience of implementing EMS's certified to BS EN ISO 14001 and statutory environmental requirements
  • You hold a full driving licence
